The purpose of this document is to define design, construction, production, operational and maintenance requirements for hydrogen systems in industrial trucks and equipment. The standard defines requirements for compressed hydrogen storage systems and hydrogen processing systems as used by fuel cell power systems.

This document is being created to:

·  Fill a recognized gap in safety standards created by the increasing usage of compressed hydrogen powered industrial vehicles, and

·  Highlight and document the hydrogen fuel system cycle life differences between this application and those current standards written for light-duty, on-road passenger vehicles.
